Maranam Bindu Patena, Jeevanam Bindu Daaranaath!

Pioneered by Dhanvantari, and further propagated by Charaka and Sushruta, Ayurveda, the knowledge of life and longevity is an ancient Indian system of medical science practiced for more than 3000 years, and world’s oldest holistic “whole body” healing systems, for treating the physical and psychological diseases. Ayurveda strives to treat and integrate body, mind, and spirit employing a holistic approach by emphasizing on diet, herbal remedies, exercise, meditation, breathing, and therapy. Treatment for most of the chronic diseases which are not permanently cured by the modern methods of medicine, Ayurveda offers permanent cure by rejuvenating the affected organ.

Ayurveda views the human bodies as composites of primary elements of nature viz. ether (space), air, fire, water, and (ether) earth. Any two combinations of these primary elements can form various physiological functions of a human body viz.

Vata Dosha: Is chargeable for the movement and directs nerve impulses, circulation, respiration, and elimination. A combination of ether and air forms Vata Dosha in the body. Vata is Vayu (wind) within the body, and liable for physical, and mental adaptability, governors system, bones, and senses of touch and hearing.
Pitta Dosha: Is chargeable for the method of metabolism within the organ and tissue systems, also as cellular metabolism. A combination of fire and water forms pitta dosha in the body. Pitta is chargeable for the physical gastrointestinal system and mental absorption of life experiences. Pitta is to blame for chemical and metabolic transformations.
Kapha Dosha: Is liable for the expansion, adding form structure unit by unit and offers protection. A combination of ether and water forms pitta dosha in the body. Kapha is chargeable for the soundness, lubrication, substance, and support of figure. The cerebral-spinal fluid protects the brain and backbone, whereas the mucosal lining of the stomach is another example of the Kapha dosha protecting the tissues.

These three doshas, Vata pitta & Kapha broadly represent the system, the metabolic system, and therefore the nutritive system, to stay the build-in balance. Every soul inherits a novel combination of the three doshas, but one is stronger than the others and controls a body function. Equality of those three doshas leads to health, and inequality leads to disease.

Ayurveda names seven tissues (Dhatus), viz. plasma (rasa), blood (Rakta), muscles (Mamsa), fat (medo), bone (asthi), marrow (Majja), semen (sukra) which supports the essential structure of the body, besides twenty qualities or characteristics (gunas) organized in ten pairs, which inherits in the matter. When any of the doshas become accumulated, Ayurveda suggests a selected lifestyle, nutritional guidelines and therapy were needed to help the individual in reducing the excessive dosha.

A cleansing process, Pancha Karma is usually recommended, to eliminate the unwanted toxins if they are abundant within the body.
