Dr.Devendra Mitra Arya is a qualified Ayurveda doctor, a Yoga Therapist, an expert in Marma techniques, and Kairo (treatment of the disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems). He was attracted to the Vedic philosophy in the childhood and embarked studies in Arsha Vidya Parampara. He was fortunate to undergo early education in Gurukul Education System that had exposure to Indian Vedic Culture, Traditional Education System, and Ancient Indian Heritage, and with his wisdom, came out with an idea of spreading his early learning in the childhood to the present generations.

His ideology led to the establishment of Kriya Yoga Samsthan (KYS) on March 3rd, 1999 at Secunderabad which purported to manage an Ayurveda Hospital, a Yoga School to teach the importance of yoga, its proactive benefits and enhancing thyself. Afoot plans are to extend the activities of Kriya Yoga Samsthan by establishing a Gurukul, to spread the essence of Gurukul culture, to the present and future generations. As a prelude to the establishment of Kriya Yoga Samasthan, he extensively travelled to study the traditions, heritage and culture followed across the nation.

His Yoga techniques offer practical solutions to overcome the daily physical, mental and physiological strain of modern-day life. He also teaches on the improvement of health through adequate diet, relaxation, quality sleep, meditation, and Patanjali Yoga Sutras. His teachings offer a unique practical insight to unearth hidden talent from grass root level in an individual and make the person aware of the future and its possibilities.

As a professional Yoga Therapist and renowned Vedic philosopher, he had spent ten years, researching and developing new techniques in the treatment of sciatica, paralysis, cervical, back pain, arthritis, asthma, obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. Over the years he has gained expertise in a variety of paramedical fields’ viz. acupressure; massage therapy, Marma technique, and Iris diagnosis.

He extensively wrote to a cross-section of newspapers besides participating in several T.V. Programs, talk shows and international yoga awareness programs. Despite lucrative job offers in India and abroad, he has committed to his dream of nurturing Ayurveda Health Centers (AyHC) even at remotes places in the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, before branching to other parts of India. His zeal is to educate people to the natural ways of healing and thereby to spread the light of Kriya Yoga Samasthan (KYS).
